Money Fish: Balls, Balls, Balls - Preview Show: Sat June 28th
We are bringing our brand new Money Fish kids’ show to Winnipeg Fringe in July… join us for a preview/fundraiser in Toronto before we head west!
Saturday June 28th at 3pm - Artists’ Play Dance & Circus, Studio 3
Suggested ticket price: $10 (+hst calculated at checkout) OR use code PWYC to choose your own amount and send an e-transfer to hello@herciniarts.com or bring cash on show day.
A new full length absurdist clown-dance from our crowd favourite Money Fish characters!
Money Fish are zany, acrobatic trio of fish-like synchronized swimmers... on land. Following many years of swimming through audiences as roaming characters, and their (un)successful cabaret Dance, Money Fish have now been thrust on stage to try and figure out what to do with all of these balls.
Set to an array of the most recognizable classical music, the Money Fish pay tribute to/parody ballet, opera, contemporary dance, acrobatics, silent film, and anything else that might take itself too seriously.
General Access Info:
The show runs approx 30 min, is highly visual with no dialogue and set to recorded music.
For this preview performance we will be in a basic studio space with a mixture of daylight and overhead florescent lighting. Audience members are welcome to enter/exit throughout the performance if needed, make noise and stim or move around in their seats.
A mixture of folding chairs and mats on the floor will be provided for seating on existing dance floor.
Location:
Artists' Play is located on the 2nd floor of a large industrial building and signage can be followed from most entrances, leading you up one flight of stairs to the entrance. There is a 6 inch (16cm) elevation at the main entrance to the building where there is an elevator to the 2nd floor. From the main entrance, there is a pathway marked in pink tape on the floor.
The space is large with pathways of hard concrete floors throughout. There are multiple gender-neutral washrooms available in the space. The washrooms are not large enough to accommodate a mobility device. Doors are all manual and do not have grab bars.
Transportation: The venue is accessible by TTC via the 72 Pape bus from both Pape subway station, the Carlton Streetcar (via Gerrard st E) or the Queen Streetcar. Bike racks are available just outside the building and there is a bike share station at Dundas/Carlaw as well as several other nearby stations. There is metered street parking on Carlaw. An underground Green P parking lot is available across the street beside Crow's Theatre.
